Photoshop has a non-destructive editing system that’s part of the foundations of the program, with all its files being created with layered editing, so you can restore them easily if a modification is later on undone. A toolset of layer-based effects often results in the appearance of the image, such as a recoloring, changing its color, or making it darker or lighter, blurring, distorting, and so on. These effects also have “undo” and “redo” versions, so you can edit just a portion of it, or edit it all and then change your mind and fix.
